Given that Germany also has to challenge a manure surplus, they want to establish a BAT. With this project they want to find out how other countries and regions handle their manure management and processing .

VCM will compile and analyse all studies and projects concerning manure processing in Flanders, Belgium. There will also be looked into the regional legislation and influence on the development of manure processing. Data will be given on process and performance parameters of typical operational installations and techniques and the technical evaluation of the existing processing techniques will be looked at.

Together wilt information on commercial structures for the sale of manure processing products  this information will add up a report on the Flemish situation to the similar reports from experts from other EU countries (Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, France and Czech Republic).
