The water in liquid manure streams (eg effluent after biological treatment, liquid fraction digestate) can be evaporated by adding heat at a certain temperature and pressure. This causes the water to evaporate and the liquid thickens and can be further concentrated by drying. Cooling of the water vapor creates a condensate that can be further treated.
